Albion Sections Invest Again
Albion Sections have installed another fully dynamic pre punch unit; this additional capital expenditure will allow further tonnes to be manufactured at West Bromwich. The new pre punch will enable us to make better use of existing manufacturing facilities; we are able to move approximately 4000t from one of our main roll forming lines to the newly upgraded roll former.
The affect of the expenditure will result in Albion Sections offering a 4-5 working Days delivery period rather than an already existing industry beating 5-7 working days, Albion Sections targeted service as a driver of growth and it has worked. Our throughput increased dramatically in 2008 and even in peak times when others were failing Albion Sections maintained its delivery commitment of 5-7 working days.
The additional facilities will allow Albion Sections to produce more products within the existing cost base, hence allowing us to be more competitive. Competitive pricing policies have become a major driver within the steel construction industry over the last 6 months and we believe at Albion Sections that our current position with new materials, products and even more productive. In addition to this, Albion Sections now offers a 4-5 working day delivery period. This beats our existing industry beating 5-7 working day delivery promise. We believe our targeted, first class service has been a driver of growth. Our capacity increased dramatically in 2008. Even in peak times when others were failing, Albion Sections maintained its delivery commitment of 5-7 working days.
The additional manufacturing facilities will allow Albion Sections to produce more products within the existing cost base, allowing us to be more competitive. Competitive pricing policies have become a major driver within the steel construction industry over the last 6 months.
Albion's current position, with new materials, products and even more productive facilities, will assist our valued customers in the pursuit of new orders, without reducing our expected and appreciated service levels.
