Over 55% of participants believe it will take 24 months+ for market conditions to resume to 2007’s level.

|
50% of participants deem price to be their main incentive when placing orders of awarding contracts, followed by reliability with 31.5%.

A majority 71.3% of voters believe price to be their customers’ foremost objective when placing an order or awarding a contract.

|
The highest votes were recorded for education with 23.6% of votes, followed by commercial, 20.9%, and then agricultural, 19.8%.

|
A huge 88.9% of participants have reduced to heavily reduced margins.

|
Whilst 25% have reduced margins to below cost, a majority 75% have not.

|
Enquiries are positively high with 44.4% reporting very good levels.

A majority 43.4% report low potential/confirmed order books for the coming 6 to 12 months. This was followed closely by 35.8% - average results.

66% of participants believe steel prices will remain the same, while 28.3% sense they shall increase.
