Albion's Cold Roll Forming Manufacturing Facilities
Above is footage of Albion Sections' Bradbury Purlin line. It is our most recent investment costing £1.25million and providing innovative cold rolled steel section solutions.
The double headed driven mandrill, feeds the pre-slit coil into the pit and pre-punch pinch rolls.
The steel is drawn into a fully dynamic multi-headed punch facility. The punch facility runs on both axis allowing total flexibility - improving quality and accuracy. This state of the art precision engineering machinery can accommodate bespoke punching demands with very little effort.
The role former on average generates 4000 metres per 8 hour shift, with a consistent line speed of 60 metres per minute.
The steel is then cold rolled, manipulating the slit coil into Z and C Sections, Albion Sigma Purlins, Eaves Beams and Side Rails. In the video footage, sleeves have been manufactured - one of our many standard building product profiles.
All parts are clearly labelled to ensure each section is identifiable and can be constructed onsite with ease.
