Following our recent expansion into Ireland, we have found a surprising difference in attitude towards the procurement of Purlin and Rail systems. In England and Wales over the past 16 years, weight has been king, in comparison to Irish demands where the minimum number of components is king.
The cost of purchase has always been the order of the day in the main, hence the reason why Albion Sections has pushed the availability of gauge range from 1.2mm to 3.2 depths and section range from 100mm to 500m.
In an effort to reduce the weight, Albion Sections are pushing raw material manufacturers to improve product capacities. We have also launched the new Albion Sigma Purlin this year in response to the demand for simple and quick solutions in the Irish markets.
